The product's story
These candles were born from a simple idea: giving a second life to a material taken directly from olive oil production.
After the olive oil is produced, By Louys recovers the olive paste that remains at the bottom of the vats. This material is then entrusted to a small local craftsman based in Gréoux-les-Bains.
The craftsman blends this olive paste with wax to create the candles, then adds the 100% pure essential oils supplied by By Louys. This 60 g size features the lavender scent, one of the three emblematic scents of Provence offered by By Louys.

The name “Louys” comes from
the founder's son
By Louys was born from a simple conviction: the finest things come from those who take the time to do them well. Rooted in the landscapes of the Valensole plateau, the brand was founded in the spirit of Domaine Demol — a family of producers who, for several generations, have farmed the land with patience and rigour.
But By Louys doesn't stop at the estate's boundaries. It's a living selection, guided by taste and honesty: oils, honeys, flavours chosen for what they have to say, wherever they come from. Every product tells a story of soil, season and know-how.

Where do your products come from?
Some come directly from Domaine Demol, on the Valensole plateau, where our family has been farming the land for several generations. For the rest, we go out into the field to find producers we know and trust.
How do you select each product?
Every product is tasted by Aurélie before it's sold: anything that doesn't taste as promised never joins our selection. When the estate's production isn't enough, we go out into the field to find a producer whose working methods we consider respectable.
Do you offer personalised gift boxes?
Yes, our custom gift box lets you put together a selection to your taste, to give as a gift or to treat yourself. You'll find it directly in our online shop.
What are your delivery terms?
Your orders are prepared and then handed to the carrier for standard delivery within 4 working days in mainland France, with tapering fees down to free delivery from €85 of purchase. Full details are available in our shipping policy.
